GWO First Aid Refresher
The GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) First Aid Refresher Module is a 1-day (8-hour) course designed for wind industry professionals who hold a valid GWO BST First Aid certificate and need to renew their certification.
The training refreshes essential knowledge and practical skills required to recognize life-threatening situations and provide safe and effective first aid in a wind turbine environment.
The course focuses on saving lives, preventing further illness or injury, and managing casualties until they can be transferred to the next level of care. Practical training includes application of the primary survey and scenario-based exercises reflecting realistic incidents in the wind industry.
Training is delivered in accordance with the GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher Standard issued by the Global Wind Safety Organisation.
Classes run from 08:00 to 16:00 with a maximum of 12 participants to ensure effective learning. The course is valid for 24 months and includes ongoing assessment in line with GWO requirements. Participants must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid GWO First Aid certificate, and have a valid WINDA ID.
GWO Fire awareness Resfresher
The GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Fire Awareness Refresher Module is a half-day (3.5-hour) course designed for wind industry professionals who need to refresh their fire prevention and emergency response skills in a wind turbine environment.
The training focuses on reinforcing participants’ ability to prevent fires, correctly assess fire situations, manage evacuation procedures, and ensure all personnel are accounted for during fire incidents. When conditions allow, participants are trained to safely extinguish initial fires using basic handheld firefighting equipment.
Practical training includes hands-on use of fire extinguishers, extinguishing fires with different types of extinguishing agents, and evacuation from a smoke-filled room simulating realistic fire scenarios.
Training is delivered in accordance with the GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher Standard issued by the Global Wind Safety Organisation. The course is conducted either from 08:00 to 11:30 or 12:30 to 16:00, with a maximum of 12 participants to ensure effective practical learning.
The course is valid for 24 months and includes ongoing assessment in line with GWO requirements. Participants must be at least 18 years old, wear working clothes and safety boots, and hold a valid WINDA ID.
GWO Manual Handling Refresher
The GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Manual Handling Refresher Module is a half-day (3.5-hour) course designed for wind industry professionals holding a valid GWO BST Manual Handling certification who need to renew their qualification.
The training refreshes essential knowledge and practical skills required to perform manual handling tasks safely in the wind turbine environment, with a strong focus on reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.
Participants revisit correct working techniques and safe task execution to support long-term health and safety during daily operations.
Training is delivered in accordance with the GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher Standard issued by the Global Wind Safety Organisation.
