GWO BTT Bolt Tightening
The GWO Bolt Tightening Using Energy-Powered Tools Module is a 1-day (8-hour) course designed for individuals who already hold a valid GWO BTT Mechanical certificate and want to specialize in bolt torquing and tensioning tasks in the wind turbine industry.
The training focuses on practical, real-world application of energy-powered tools, enabling participants to independently plan, execute, and complete bolt tightening procedures in accordance with specified standards and work instructions.
Emphasis is placed on safe working practices, correct tool usage, and consistent quality in bolt torquing and tensioning operations within wind turbines.
Training is delivered in accordance with the GWO Basic Technical Training Standard issued by the Global Wind Safety Organisation.
Classes run from 08:00 to 16:00 with a maximum of 12 participants to ensure effective practical learning.
The course has no expiry and includes ongoing assessment in line with GWO requirements. Participants must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid GWO BTT Mechanical certificate, wear working clothes and safety boots, and have a valid WINDA ID.
GWO BTT Mechanical
The GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) Mechanical Module is a 1-day (8-hour) course designed for individuals aiming to develop essential mechanical skills for technician roles in the wind turbine industry.
The training provides a solid foundation in wind turbine mechanical systems, focusing on how key components operate, interact, and are maintained during installation and service activities.
Participants gain fundamental knowledge of gearbox functionality, brake systems, yaw and pitch mechanisms, as well as cooling and lubrication systems. The course also emphasizes risk awareness and practical skills such as manual tightening techniques and the correct use of measuring tools.
Training is delivered with a strong focus on safety, correct procedures, and supervised task execution within a wind turbine environment.
The course is conducted in accordance with the GWO Basic Technical Training Standard issued by the Global Wind Safety Organisation.

Participants learn how to interpret electrical diagrams, understand sensor functions, and perform safe electrical measurements in a wind turbine environment. The course builds intermediate-level proficiency in electrical fundamentals while emphasizing correct procedures and safe working practices.

The training provides a comprehensive understanding of wind turbine installation phases, with a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on exercises using real work tools.
Participants develop the skills needed to plan and carry out installation tasks safely and efficiently, including task recognition, checklist use, risk management, inspection and storage of components, and correct handling of goods and lifting procedures.
The course focuses on safe working practices, quality execution, and real-world application within the wind turbine installation environment.
