Blade Repair, Spot On Paint, Epoxy safety (6)

GWO Blade Repair

The Training is a 10-day (70-hour) course designed to prepare technicians for professional inspection and repair of wind turbine blades. The training combines theory and extensive practical exercises, focusing on composite material handling, damage assessment, and safe execution of blade repair work in accordance with GWO requirements.

Participants learn how to inspect and document blade condition, perform laminating repairs on leading and trailing edges (up to five layers and 500 cm²), replace core materials up to 200 cm², and carry out surface repairs to paint and gelcoat while maintaining aerodynamic performance and structural integrity.

The course also includes advanced content such as large leading edge infusion, multilayer composite layup, and hands-on training with original materials to reflect real working conditions in the wind industry. Training is delivered in line with the GWO Blade Repair Standard by the Global Wind Safety Organisation, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and practical competence. Classes run from 08:00 to 16:00 with a maximum of 12 participants to ensure effective practical training. The course has no expiry and is completed through a written test and a practical repair assessment.

Spot Pain on Metal and Composites

The Training is a 2-day (16-hour) course designed for individuals aiming to work professionally with corrosion protection in the wind industry. The training combines theory and practical exercises, focusing on safe and correct spot paint application on metal and composite surfaces in accordance with work instructions and industry requirements.

Participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to assess damage, prepare surfaces, safely handle primers, epoxy resins and isocyanates, mix two-component materials, and apply coatings while using appropriate personal protective equipment.

The course also covers coating inspection and quality control using professional measuring tools, as well as correct documentation of repair work. In addition to metal applications, the training includes spot paint repairs on polymer composite surfaces such as blades, nacelles, and other wind turbine components, ensuring practical relevance and versatility in real working conditions.

Training is delivered with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance, with a maximum of 12 participants to ensure effective practical learning. Classes run from 08:00 to 16:00 and the course has no expiry. Participants must be at least 18 years old and wear working clothes and safety boots. The training concludes with a theoretical test.

Epoxy Safety

The Epoxy and Isocyanates Safety Training is a 2-day course combining 8 hours of e-learning with 8 hours of practical exercises conducted at a blade repair workshop. The training is designed for workers who handle epoxy resins and isocyanates in their daily work, particularly within the wind industry, manufacturing, construction, and related sectors. The course provides essential knowledge and practical skills to ensure safe and responsible handling of hazardous substances in compliance with Danish Working Environment Authority regulations.

Participants learn how to understand safety data sheets, workplace instructions, and MAL codes, select and correctly use personal protective equipment, recognize health risks, and apply proper hygiene, emergency, and waste-handling procedures.

The training also covers legal requirements, including restrictions on specific application methods, as well as general occupational health principles to ensure a safe working environment.

Training runs from 08:00 to 16:00, with a maximum of 12 participants to support effective learning. The course has no expiry and includes e-learning, ongoing assessment, and a final test. Participants must be at least 18 years old and wear working clothes and safety boots.
