GWO Manual Handling Basic

Manual Handling Module is a half-day (3.5-hour) course designed for individuals entering the wind industry and is a mandatory part of the GWO Basic Safety Training package.

The training focuses on making work in wind turbines safer by reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries. Participants learn how to perform manual handling tasks correctly and safely within the wind turbine environment, applying proper techniques to protect their health during daily work activities. 

The course is delivered in accordance with the GWO Basic Safety Training Standard issued by the Global Wind Safety Organisation.

Academy outside

**Practical Information**

Classes run either from 08:00 to 11:30 or 12:30 to 16:00, with a maximum of 12 participants.

The course is valid for 24 months and includes ongoing assessment in line with GWO requirements.

Participants must be at least 18 years old, wear working clothes and S3-class safety shoes, and hold a valid WINDA ID.
