GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) Working at Heights Refresher Module is a one-day (8-hour) course designed for wind industry professionals holding a valid GWO Working at Heights certificate who need to renew their qualifications.
The training refreshes and reinforces fundamental knowledge and practical skills essential for safe working at heights in a wind turbine environment and performing basic rescue operations.
Participants will revisit the correct selection, inspection, and use of personal protective equipment, safe working at height manoeuvres, and rescue techniques based on ladders and systems. The practical training also includes evacuation exercises simulating a controlled descent from a wind turbine.
The course is conducted in accordance with the GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher standard issued by the Global Wind Safety Organisation.
**Practical Information**
Classes run either from 08:00 to 16:00, with a maximum of 12 participants.
The course is valid for 24 months and includes ongoing assessment in line with GWO requirements.
Participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid WINDA ID.
Participants must be at least 18 years old, hold confirmed medical fitness for working above 3 meters, wear working clothes and safety boots, meet the weight limit of up to 130 kg, hold a valid GWO Working at Heights certificate, and have a valid WINDA ID.
