GWO BTT Installation
The GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) Installation Module is a 2.5-day (18-hour) course designed for individuals who hold valid GWO BTT Mechanical and BTT Bolt Tightening certifications and are involved in wind turbine installation activities, including supervisory roles.
The training provides a comprehensive understanding of wind turbine installation phases, with a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on exercises using real work tools.
Participants develop the skills needed to plan and carry out installation tasks safely and efficiently, including task recognition, checklist use, risk management, inspection and storage of components, and correct handling of goods and lifting procedures.
The course focuses on safe working practices, quality execution, and real-world application within the wind turbine installation environment.
Training is delivered in accordance with the GWO Basic Technical Training Standard issued by the Global Wind Safety Organisation.
**Practical Information**
Classes run either from 08:00 to 16:00, with a maximum of 12 participants.
The course has no expiry and includes ongoing assessment and a theoretical test in line with GWO requirements.
Participants must be at least 18 years old, wear working clothes and safety boots, and hold a valid WINDA ID.
