GWO Service Lift User (VR)
The GWO Service Lift User Module is a 4-hour training designed for personnel working on wind turbine generators where lifts are used for transporting personnel and equipment inside the WTG.
The course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to use service lifts safely and correctly, with a strong focus on responsibility, risk awareness, and correct decision-making.
Participants learn about different lift types and guiding systems used in wind turbines, how to perform pre-use inspections, respond to emergency situations, and identify when guidance from manuals or supervisors is required.
The training is conducted on-site at GWS Academy using VR goggles to simulate realistic working scenarios.
Training is delivered in accordance with the GWO Basic Safety Training Standard issued by the Global Wind Safety Organisation.
**Practical Information**
The course is completed through ongoing assessment in line with GWO requirements, has no expiry, and is delivered to a maximum of 12 participants per group.
Participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid WINDA ID.
